Does OpticVue have contact lenses for astigmatism?
Currently, OpticVue does not offer toric contact lenses for astigmatism.
If your prescription includes the value CYL or cylinder, it means you have astigmatism. In that case, you would need specific contact lenses for astigmatism, also known as toric contact lenses.
Our current ranges are designed to correct myopia and hyperopia in spherical prescriptions.
Does OpticVue have progressive or multifocal contact lenses?
Currently, OpticVue does not offer progressive or multifocal contact lenses.
If your prescription includes the value ADD or addition, it usually refers to a prescription for presbyopia or tired eyes. In that case, you would need multifocal contact lenses, which are not currently part of our catalog.
How do I know what prescription to choose?
To choose your contact lenses, you should primarily look at the SPH or sphere value of your prescription.
-
If your value appears with a - sign, it usually corresponds to myopia.
-
If your value appears with a + sign, it usually corresponds to hyperopia.
For example:
-
-2.00 → myopia.
-
+2.00 → hyperopia.
If you have values like CYL, AXIS, or ADD, you may need a different type of contact lens that we currently do not have available.
So, which OpticVue contact lenses should I choose?
It depends on your routine and your prescription.
If you have myopia and want a comfortable option to wear new every day, HydroPlus Daily might be a good choice.
If you have myopia or hyperopia and prefer a monthly option, you can choose between HydroPlus Monthly or HighOxygen Monthly.
If you wear contact lenses for many hours, spend time in front of screens, or are looking for a monthly option with silicone hydrogel, HighOxygen Monthly may better suit your routine.
